High Pressure Tanning
|
What is High Pressure Tanning?
We normally exfoliate (shed) our outer layer of skin once every 28 days. The UVB emitted by the sun and conventional tanning equipment will accelerate this cycle to approximately 7-9 days, therefore tans will fade fairly quickly. UVB rays are also responsible for burning, so as a defence mechanism the outer layer of skin will thicken to protect deeper layers, not only do the deeper layers not tan but this thickening process can contribute to skin drying and premature aging.
High pressure equipment emits just enough UVB to stimulate the production of melanin, and lots of UVA to oxidize it, therefore the outer layer of skin will not thicken as with other forms of tanning, and the second and third layer will also tan, so not only will you get a quicker, deeper, longer lasting tan, but exfoliation will return to its natural 28 day cycle, thereby extending the tan life even further, moreover, tanning with UVA light does not contribute to skin drying and premature aging. UVA also has many medical advantages. |
Faster and Cheaper
High Pressure equipment has much more tanning ability than a conventional sunbed. It is the only way to achieve awesome results in a short period of time and dedicated tanners can achieve even darker results than is obtainable with conventional tanning.
As little as 3 sessions can give a deep, natural tan. To maintain the tan only 2 or 3 sessions a month should be necessary and because the tan is deeper it will last three times as long as other tans. Therefore, you will ultimately save both time and money by not having to tan as often.
